Walk barefoot through The National Forest at CONKERS

Swadlincote, Derbyshire

England’s woodland has always teemed with activity, and you’ll find more than enough at CONKERS.

Kick off those shoes; wriggle your toes in the mud. Feel the forest floor beneath your feet, just as our ancestors did.

Here you really are in touch with nature. Try walking on timber, bark, coal, mud and pebbles. Feel their textures as you go wonderfully sock free for a while.

But that’s just a very small part of your CONKERS experience. You’ll find adventure and discovery all day long whatever the weather, for kids and the not-so-young.

Climbing, swinging, cycling, target-shooting... sculpture trails, and gentler walks to lakes and gardens. Best of all perhaps, you will reap the benefits of exercise and learning, with plenty of fresh air.

Laugh lots, play hard – then sleep well.
