Visit Natureland to see how washed-up seal pups are nursed back to health and prepared for a life back in the wild.
Seals are a hardy bunch. But sometimes even they can get things wrong, and each year several pups become stranded on Lincolnshire's beaches. But that's where Natureland come to the rescue. The sanctuary's nurses feed and care for the pups until they're back to their old selves and ready to head back into the sea. And on a day trip here you're able to witness every step of their rehabilitation. Take it from us though, it's pretty hard not to fall in love with these blubbery, doe-eyed babies, and don't be surprised if you end up adopting one afterwards!
But there's more than seals at Natureland - penguins, fish and even meerkats call this place home. There's plenty more to get the kids involved in too, from pottery painting to face painting, and there's a restaurant onsite for when you need some time out. You can even do your And for a mum or dad in need of refreshment, Natureland's cafe offers a selection of food and drink. You might even want to adopt one of its doe-eyed inhabitants afterwards!
