Look to the night sky on Exmoor

Exmoor, Devon/Somerset

This National Park of diverse landscapes, woven together in a rich tapestry, provides inspiration day and night

It is easy to find peace and tranquility in Exmoor’s beautiful landscape, and at its heart is the National Park. Sea and sky, moors and hills, deep river gorges, ancient woodlands, and rolling farmland – Exmoor has it all.

But Exmoor is a special place at night too as Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve, with some of the darkest skies in the country. Hire a telescope, pack a midnight feast and head for one of the many ‘dark spots’ to gaze in wonder at the stunning night sky as people have done for millennia.

Combine all this with picturesque towns and villages, cosy pubs and tearooms, and you have all of the ingredients for a truly memorable visit.
