May events: Get down to The Suffolk Show

Head down to Trinity Park in Ipswich and prepare to be amazed as more than 3,000 animals compete in rosette-winning events, from equestrian show jumping to the slightly bonkers Shetland Pony Grand National and Pig Olympics.

With over 800 trade stands, showcasing delicious food and wonderful crafts, there’s something to tempt everyone. Sample delicious local foods and drink, talk to the local producers and roll up your sleeves for a family cook-off! Meanwhile, the shopping arcade, 5th Avenue, has a range of beautiful boutiques, selling everything from tweeds and handmade jewellery to pet supplies.
