Visit the Dornier Do 17 display at the RAF Museum Cosford

Cosford, Shropshire

See for yourself conservation work being undertaken on the world’s only surviving Dornier Do 17.

This rare German wartime bomber was raised from the sea in June 2013 and is now on display at the Museum’s award-winning conservation centre.  As well as seeing work unfold on the plane, you’ll be able to see archive footage and learn about the historic role the Dornier Do 17 played in the Battle of Britain during World War 2 and the efforts to raise it from the bottom of the English Channel.

After visiting the Wargaming.net Dornier Interpretation Zone, take time to explore the rest of the Museum, which includes over 70 aircraft on display and the renowned National Cold War Exhibition – the only place where you can see Britain’s V Bombers: the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant.
