Autumn is a great time to explore the dramatic views of the Durham Heritage Coast on a walk along the coastal footpath.

Get up early, wrap up warm and head for the harbour town of Seaham where you can visit the marina and grab yourself a warm drink to enjoy whilst watching the sunrise.

With your bags packed and your bodies fuelled you can set off along the coastal footpath, leading through stunning cliff top scenery and links into coastal villages with their own unique stories to tell.

Follow the path to Nose’s Point, the most tranquil point of the heritage coast, where you can experience superb views of Whitby on a clear day.
