Step inside Newcastle’s iconic and characteristic cinema and take in its charm, beautiful décor and personality, without damaging your bank balance.

As the last surviving newsreel theatre still operating as a cinema full-time in the UK, this Grade II-listed building is an important, must-visit piece of heritage.

As well as playing a host of classic film and new releases, Tyneside Cinema offers a £5 Monday movie night, with tickets for all costing just a fiver. For people on low incomes and receiving income support, book a £1 Benefit Ticket, which is open to refugees, asylum seekers, and receipients of Universal Credit , Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) , Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Working Tax Credit and Pension Credit. Just remember to bring a document of proof when buying your ticket. 

With weekly themes decided by the cinema's in-house team, you could see esotoric film selections including Tom Hanks, zombies, Christmas, Woody Allen and cult horror.
