Spend a day exploring the sights of Tisbury

Tisbury, Wiltshire

With art and beauty steeped in history, Tisbury is an excellent base from which to explore Wiltshire’s countryside.

Be sure to take a trip to Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and during your visit, treat yourself to morning coffee or afternoon tea at Beatons Tearoom in The Square.

Just down the road is Old Wardour Castle - a fine example of a 14th century castle, although now without a roof courtesy of the Civil War.

The unusual hexagonal ruins of Old Wardour Castle stand serenely in their lakeside setting, protected by acres of wood. Today the castle ruin provides a relaxed, romantic day out for couples, families and budding historians alike.
