Shop in style in the beautiful Victoria Quarter

Leeds, West Yorkshire

Marvel at this collection of beautifully restored Victorian shopping arcades in Leeds and browse the luxury shops within them.

In recent years the magnificently restored Victoria Quarter has become synonymous with style and fashion in Leeds beginning, arguably, in 1996 when Harvey Nichols opened their first store outside London. Since then many designer stores have followed such as Church’s Shoes, Harvey Nichols and Louis Vuitton.

The clever blend between old and new is a key feature of Victoria Quarter. The most dramatic feature is the breathtaking stained glass roof, which runs the full length of Queen Victoria Street. At a staggering 746.9 square metres it’s earned a place in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest stained glass window in Britain,. There are also three elaborately designed mosaic floors to admire, plus the polished mahogany frames and gilded art nouveau lettering which grace every shop.

Leeds is in west Yorkshire and can easily be reached by direct train from London in less than 3 hours.
