With a surprise round every corner, Britain’s oldest theme park will awaken the imaginations of kids and grown-ups alike.
Almost anyone who has ever been to the Isle of Wight will tell you they visited Blackgang Chine, so it’s no surprise that this park has been capturing hearts for more than 170 years. As you enter the park through the legs of a giant smuggler, you know this place is going to be interesting. Themed lands ranging from Cowboys and Dragons to Pirates and Nursery Rhymes entertain the whole family.
Go on one of their Dinosaur Days and you could meet Shadow and Sheila, their baby T-rexs, causing mayhem with their handlers. There are plenty of other ‘live’ experiences to discover, such as the singing birds in the Valley of the Dodos.
If you are seeking traditional thrills, their rollercoaster and water chute will get the adrenaline pumping. Throughout the summer they throw party nights when the park lights up with fireworks and entertainment.
