Pack a picnic, head to the beach and lie back for dazzling aerial acrobatics, classic aircraft, live music, fireworks and traditional seaside fun.
Sunderland International Airshow is Europe's largest free airshow, showcasing everything from death-defying wing walkers and classic aerial battle re-enactments to synchronised aerobatic stunts by the Red Arrows - Britain’s iconic team of top military pilots.
The action takes place over the city’s picturesque coastline at Seaburn and Roker. Crowds gather here on the sandy beaches, pier and cliff parks. There is also plenty going on at ground level, with quintessential English seaside entertainments, a fairground, flight simulators, ride-on model trains and helicopter flights on offer.
Festivities commence with the Friday night launch party on Cliffe Park, mixing live music from Scouting For Girls with flying displays and a big firework extravaganza.
Head to Sunderland between 26-28 July and enjoy exhilarating fun for the whole family!
