Spend the day ambling around mountains and fells of the Peak District before enjoying a relaxing evening with whole family at The Old Bakehouse.
The Old Bakehouse is set in the heart of the Peak District, where striking scenery and pretty walks are the norm. A short drive away there’s ballooning, cycle hire, rock climbing and abseiling, as well as Chatsworth and Hardwicke Hall. Your days might be spent out and about, but come evening, you and the family can retreat to this 14th century bolthole.
A Derbyshire open fireplace and cosy sofas welcome you, and there are exposed beams, a walled orchard garden and the bakehouse’s original box stairs for those who appreciate the historical details. The cottage sleeps 15, but if cooking feels like too much of a chore after the day’s activities, caterers can be arranged.
