July Events: South Tyneside Festival

This fabulous summer festival brings three months of free entertainment to the vibrant seaside resort of South Shields.

This is South Tyneside Festival is an annual celebration of music and culture in a unique setting, taking place between June and August.

The highlight each year is four open-air concerts on summer Sunday afternoons, which take place in Bents Park next to the beautiful beach on the seafront of South Shields. Entry is free of charge, or you can purchase a Priority Plus ticket which allows you in earlier to pick your spot & guarantees entry.

Another highlight is a spectacular Summer Parade. One of the biggest of its kind in the North it features more than 2000 participants and is hugely popular. With performances and free entertainment, it's a great day out for all the family to enjoy.

SUMMER PARADE TO THE BENTS PARK  on 6 July
PROMS IN THE PARK on 7 July
SUNDAY CONCERTS -on 14, 21, 28 July and 4 August
KIDS FEST AT THE AMPHITHEATRE - Tuesdays and Thursdays until 22 August
BRASS BANDS every Sunday in June, July and August
ARMED FORCES DAY on 23 June
