This eclectic summer festival brings three months of free entertainment to the vibrant seafront resort of South Shields.
The South Tyneside Festival is an annual three-month celebration of music and culture in a unique setting. Soak up the atmosphere at open-air concerts every Sunday in July, surrounded by lush green parkland with spectacular views of golden-sand beaches and soaring cliffs. This year’s musical acts include Pixie Lott, The Vamps and Scouting For Girls, with £5 advance tickets available now.
The festival also features a summer parade on June 30th, which heads through the streets of South Shields; colourful floats and imaginative costumes bring a burst of excitement to the town as locals wow the crowds with their creativity.
Activities and events take place throughout the summer months of June, July and August, and admission is free. A full programme can be found on the website, and there’s something for everyone; make sure you make time to head north for the South Tyneside Festival!
