May events: See Salisbury's amazing Art Festival
Salisbury, Wiltshire
Take part in the Salisbury International Arts Festival, and immerse yourself in music, art, dance, and theatre of the highest caliber.
The annual Salisbury International Arts Festival presents a wonderful array of spectacular events in and around Salisbury. Classical and world music share the limelight with international theatre, dance, film, visual arts, children’s events, free outdoor events and a full literature programme, starting in late May and ending in early June.
The festival draws some of the best artists from around the world, commissioning and creating unique work. Venues vary from the spectacular Salisbury Cathedral through to Salisbury Playhouse, the Market Place and other historic locations such as Old Wardour Castle and Stonehenge.
This year's event has something of a space theme, due to its celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landings. See unique artworks and performances influenced by space and our planet, and catch big screenings of space flicks including Wall-E and First Man.
The Salisbury International Arts Festival 2019 takes place between 24 May - 9 June. Tickets to all events are available through the website.
