Relive the glitz and glamour of the 1930s in Brighton

Brighton & Hove, East Sussex

Forget winter’s dull skies and thick layers of clothing. Unleash your inner glamour puss and hop on a train to Brighton for a 1930s-themed weekend.

Start your indulgent escape with a stroll around North Laine, home to a treasure trove of vintage and retro-inspired fashion shops. Once you’ve found the perfect flapper dress or zoot suit visit the I Charleston dance studios to learn the moves of the Jazz Age, a great activity for friends on a group holiday.

After all that shopping and twisting you’ll need refreshment so the next stop is Metrodeco, a 1930s Parisian tea salon, for afternoon tea with a side serving of art deco decadence. If you pop by in the evening you can even try a prohibition style tea-cocktail.
