Look for love in the heart of Cropton Forest

Pickering, North Yorkshire

Whether it’s the sight of roe deer at dawn or the hoot of an owl at dusk, there’s animal magnetism at work at the Forest Holidays site at Cropton.

With idyllic woodland and meadow all around, and country walks and cosy pubs in the North York Moors, Cropton is the perfect rural retreat for a romantic weekend break.

Specially designed cabins for couples put hearts and flowers on the agenda from the outset – so there’s not just a wood-burning stove, an outdoor hot tub and a snuggly hammock on the decking, but champagne and rose petals on request and a large, sunken bath with room for two and panoramic views of the forest.

Meanwhile, the nearby market town of Pickering offers hand-in-hand strolls and step-back-in-time trips on the heritage trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
