Experience an epic storytelling journey through time at this spectacular live-action night show in Durham.

This summer, head north east to Durham and allow Kynren to take you on a captivating journey through 2,000 years of British history, myth and legend.

This spectacular live-action outdoor show begins at sunset and ends in starlight, and is played out on a vast open-air stage with a full-size lake at its centre, landscaped in a loop in the River Wear beneath Auckland Castle in the Vale of Durham.

This year Eleven Arches presents season two of Kynren, and after wowing more than 100,000 visitors last year, this summer's 17 shows are set to be bigger, better and brighter than before.

From the Roman occupation to the Second World War, Kynren will take you on an action-packed voyage through time. You will witness ships and steam engines, mass choreography and dance, fierce combat, dazzling pyrotechnics, fire and astonishing lighting and water effects. 

There will be shows across the summer, and each nght more than 1,000 volunteers bring this spectacular show to life joined on stage by a supporting cast of horses, sheep, goats cattle, geese and ducks.
