There’s no shortage of wordy stimulation and novel debate for book worms at the Chester Literature Festival.
Every year, this quaint Roman town comes alive with highbrow chatter as writers, book-lovers and famous authors descend on Chester to talk about the written word. The jam-packed programme features a series of often-heated discussions, workshops, readings and book signings.
Previous guests have included Kate Mosse, Kate Adie, Mark Lawson, Douglas Hurd and Derek Jacobi, while this year's bill includes the likes of Michael Morpurgo, Benjamin Zephaniah and Nadiya Hussein. If that doesn’t get your grey cells buzzing, we don’t know what will.
