Join a ghost tour of England’s spookiest fortress

Eastbourne, East Sussex

Join a spooky twilight tour at Eastbourne’s Redoubt Fortress this October for a fun and frightful tour around the creepy cobwebbed corridors.

With over 200 years of history, the damp cells of this Napoleonic coastal fortress are perfect for discovering gruesome battles and ghostly sightings.

Presented in a dramatic way, this fun tour is a great way to enjoy a guaranteed spook fest and hear more about the fortress’ grisly history.

Held on Friday and Saturday evenings throughout October, pick up a Heritage Trail leaflet for even more gruesome stories and fascinating history along Eastbourne seafront.

Head along the coast to nearby Pevensey for more ghostly sightings at the Norman castle or visit the Court House Museum & Gaol for medieval finds, part of the Kent & East Sussex Magna Carta trail.
