Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk alongside the dinosaurs that once roamed the earth? Well now you can…
Utilising the latest in AR technology, the Dinosaur Island phone app allows you to put yourself in the picture with dinosaurs that would have lived on the Isle of Wight millions of years ago. Find the special ‘meteorites’ that activate the app at six coastal locations. The trail starts at Yaverland Beach just down the road from the Dinosaur Isle museum at Sandown.
You can take photos of yourself with the dinos and save or share them with your friends at the click of a button – just remember dinosaurs don’t stand still for long so you’d better be quick.
Once you’ve sampled the trail at Yaverland why not hop on the Island Coaster Bus and make your way along to the next points on the trail. Along with meeting the dinosaurs you can check out some of the best bits of the Isle of Wight’s southern coast.
