Follow in the footsteps of 18th Century tourists at Stowe

Stowe, Buckinghamshire

Explore Capability Brown’s first major commission incorporating over 40 historic monuments.

Stowe Landscape Gardens have been managed by the National Trust since 1990 and is one of the few places in Britain where you can immerse yourself in Georgian magnificence on the grandest of scales.

The gardens themselves cover over 250 acres of lawn, lakes, woods and temples and are the perfect place for couples and families to visit. Whether you want to get active on the garden cycle route or keep things more sedate with a walk and enjoy a picnic, Stowe offers you the space to do both.

Stowe also features a large new café space where you can sample local menus, buy seasonal plants or sample the New Inn Restoration Ale.
