Known around the world for its historic collections and inspirational exhibitions, London's Science Museum is a treat for all the family.
The Science Museum is one of the UK's most popular tourist attractions with millions of visitors from across the world stopping by every year. With over 15,000 objects on display, there's plenty to see and do, with historical highlights like the Apollo 10 command capsule and Stephenson’s Rocket on permanent display.
A particular highlight for families is Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery; this unique space features 50 interactive exhibitions focused on giving children of all ages a chance to get up close and personal with various science experiments. From live demonstrations at the Chemistry Bar to immersive light displays of our solar system, it's the ultimate scientific playground.
Elsewhere, you can experience what it’s like to fly with the Red Arrows or blast off into space on an Apollo space mission in 4D simulators. There are also family-friendly film screenings to book on the in-house IMAX 3D Cinema; the screen is taller than four double decker buses!
The Science Museum can be found in South Kensington and is free for all to enter. Some special exhibits (including the Wonderlab) will require fees and should be booked in advance.
