July events: Barbury International Horse Trials

Woah there! The Barbury Horse Trials are not just open to professionals you know… It may attract some of the best horsemen and women from around the world, but amateurs get a crack of the whip alongside the pros at this gruelling, three-day event on the Marlborough Downs.

Sit back and watch as riders negotiate the deep ditches, water features and brush fences on the cross country course, then witness horse and rider strutting their smartly-dressed stuff in the show-jumping arena and dressage events. Once you’ve had your fill of four-legged fun, check out the shopping arena, live shows and food and drink stalls.
