As you’d expect from a log cabin, Tamarack Lodge comes with a wood burner and enormous basket of kindling. But its rustic feel doesn’t end there.

Set on a family-run organic farm with views of the Yarty Valley, there are some little luxuries inside: three en-suite bathrooms, under-floor heating, a large TV and space for 11. Not that you’ll spend much time inside; the farm is home to two wildlife sites, ideal for little ones, and there are pathways to explore from your doorstep.

There’s also nearby Exmoor to really tire everyone out. Even the family steed can get in on the action, as the lodge comes with a stable and paddock.
