Hertford Castle Gatehouse will open its doors to the public free of charge, with a brass band concert on the Castle lawn.
The Grade 1 Listed building, dating back to the mid-15th century and built on the site of a Norman Castle, is situated by the River Lea in Hertford.
In addition to the guided tours of the grounds, walls and the Castle, people are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy a brass band concert on the castle lawn.
Children can join in with an art foraging trail around the castle grounds, and they can create collages with their found treasures.
