Don your tweeds for the Nottinghamshire County Show

Newark, Nottinghamshire

As the season changes, May is your chance to enjoy the spring sunshine with an action-packed day at the Nottinghamshire County Show.

The arrival of spring heralds the coming of the Nottinghamshire County Show, held at the 26-acre Newark Showground from 13th -14th May 2017. The show is a fantastic traditional event, promoting farming, food, rural life and heritage in Nottinghamshire and beyond.

Always a fun day out with plenty to explore, there really is something for everyone, from heart-racing motor cross stunts and live music performances to duck-herding dogs and dancing sheep. Foodies will love the Food Experience Marquee while wannabe athletes will leap at the chance to get active in the SportsZone.

Spring in Nottinghamshire also means you can also welcome back beautiful bluebell-covered woodland at historic Hodsock Priory, one of the county’s heritage gems. National Trust Property, Clumber Park, is an ideal place to enjoy a beautiful scenic walk or bike ride, while children can have an egg-cellent time and join the Cadbury Easter Egg Trails or see the adorable new-born lambs.
