To mark 100 years since the Battle of Jutland, Portsmouth will host a blockbuster exhibition on the battle and a programme of commemorative events.
2016 marks 100 years since the Battle of Jutland, the Royal Navy's defining moment in the First World War, and perhaps the largest sea battle in history.
To commemorate the date, and kicking off the UK's national commemorative programme of events, the National Museum of the Royal Navy will be unveiling their brand new blockbuster exhibition ' 36 hours: Jutland 1916, The Battle That Won The War'.
As well as the opening of this brilliant new exhibition, there will be a programme of commemorative events throughout May to mark the date including a large scale service on Southsea Common with veterans and members of the Armed Services.
