Enjoy a festive day out to one of Europe's biggest Christmas markets
Manchester
Wrap up warm and head down to the Manchester Christmas markets this winter to experience a festive array of sights, smells and sounds.
Enjoy a tasty traditional German Glühwein (mulled wine), or fill up on one of the many authentic food offerings, which are served from the hundreds of beautifully decorated huts.
Spread across ten locations around the city, the Christmas Markets are sure to have something to suit every taste. From craft and clothing stalls to cheeses and confectionery, Manchester Christmas Markets host an enormous variety of stalls and goods from around the world, allowing visitors to truly soak up the Christmas atmosphere.
You’ll be sure to spot the markets’ largest set-up in Albert Square, with the famous light-up Santa Claus who sits on top of Manchester’s Town Hall, overlooking the markets every year. See what else Manchester city centre has to offer, and head to nearby Spinningfields to experience the outdoor ice-rink for a fun-filled festive day-out.
To round the day off, why not head over to Albert Sqaure Chop House to enjoy some of the best of British cooking and warm up in your own private luxurious booth.
