Britain is no stranger to tales of Giants and the mythical havoc they once wreaked in days of yore.  Bristol has not escaped their clutch and the fabled story of the Bristol Giants, Goram and Ghyston alludes to the creation of iconic Bristolian landmarks by these legendary beings. Fire children’s imagination and visit the Titan-moulded locations for yourself. Goram’s Chair, Soap dish and ‘tantrum’ footprint lie in lovely Blaise Castle Estate. Popular with dog-walkers and perfect for a leafy autumn stroll, there’s also a fantastic children’s play area, museum and folly castle to visit. For stunning views of the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge, head to Clifton Observatory whose steep steps wind down through the cliff to Ghyston’s Cave, snuggled in the rock.  After your explorations, warm up in the White Lion Bar overlooking some of the city’s best views before making like the giants - albeit stylish, comfortable ones - and bed down in the hotel suites built on Gorge bedrock at the Avon Gorge Hotel.
