Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

Step back in time at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, where groups are greeted by Britain’s first iron-hulled, armoured warship HMS Warrior. 

Plot a course to HMS Warrior - Queen Victoria’s favourite ship - where groups can learn sword fighting skills and create secret signal flag messages. 

When international visitors climb aboard Lord Nelson’s HMS Victory or learn about the history of Henry VIII’s flagship the Mary Rose, they’ll leave Portsmouth inspired, motivated and with a greater understanding of Britain’s past and naval heritage.

Sailing on The Solent

The Solent encompasses a large area of protected water and is probably one of the busiest and most famous sailing areas in the world. It is an area steeped in history and natural beauty, with pretty fishing ports, islands and a wealth of activities. 

There are numerous marinas dotted along the coastline for you to charter a boat or to head out on an organised tour. Portsmouth has Port Solent Marina , Gosport Marina, Gunwharf Quays, Haslar Marina, which all offer good restaurant facilities and fashion shops to visit.
