Sarehole Mill was once a favourite playground for Tolkien and his brothers, the Mill and surrounding areas are believed to be the inspiration behind Hobbiton and the Shire. Tolkien fans will want to visit Moseley Bog too, another beloved childhood play area of Tolkien. Wander through this serene untouched piece of woodland, which is recalled in Tolkien’s description of the "Old Forest".
