Enjoy traditional dishes, dance and dress, while learning about the country’s unique culture at the annual Bristol Thai Festival.
Bristol might be far removed from South-east Asia, but for one weekend only, the town comes alive with all that is great about Thai culture. There’s something for all the senses: Buddhist monks serve Pad Thai and other national dishes, while the crowds lining the streets are treated to a feast for the eyes with dancing, Thai boxing and a traditional costume fashion show.
The Thai people really know how to relax and there are plenty of opportunities to soothe away those everyday niggles; whether you decide to do this in the Singha beer garden or with one of the massages this country is so famous for is up to you.
This year’s Thai Festival takes place on Saturday 8 September, and advance tickets are available now.
