Raise a glass in the South Downs countryside

Brighton & Hove, East Sussex

English sparkling wine is enjoying a renaissance.

At the Ridgeview Estate vineyard, wines are stocked internationally as well as in several Brighton restaurants. Based in Ditchling, part of the South Downs National Park, this family-run vineyard specialises in classic grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

The South Downs is a great location for vine-growing as the climate is semi-continental, similar to the Champagne region. The cool nights help the grapes to retain high levels of natural acidity which is essential for making quality sparkling wine.

Take advantage of tours and tastings throughout the year.
