Is this the most iconic steak house in London?
London
For steak with a side of glamour, look no further than this romantic restaurant in the centre of London.
Located in the iconic Hippodrome Casino in the heart of Leicester Square, Heliot Steak House is a hidden oasis of glamour amidst the bustling energy of London's West End.
The restaurant's setting is truly unique. You can peek at the casino below and the Hippodrome's iconic stage – which has welcomed everyone from Judy Garland to Stevie Wonder – from the elegantly curved bar or plush leather seating.
The service is also impeccable; the smartly-dressed waiters are knowledgeable (especially with wine recommendations!) and attentive without being intrusive.
But of course, the real star of the show at Heliot Steak House is the food. As the name suggests, the restaurant specializes in high-quality USDA prime steaks, and you can't go wrong with the 35-day dry-aged ribeye, which is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour.
Slather it in chimichurri or garlic butter and pair it with a selection of decadent sides such as truffle and parmesan chips and Lobster mac and cheese and you've got yourself an epicurean experience you'll be talking about long after your visit.
As you'd expect, the restaurant isn't the cheapest steak house in London, but it's an excellent option for a special romantic treat.
They also have various offers throughout the year, such as the Steak and Lobster deal, which includes a Hereford fillet steak, half of a Scottish lobster, french fries and a glass of Jacquart Signature Champagne for just £39 per person.
