Head to Salisbury for a historic city break

Salisbury, Wiltshire

Explore this interesting city break destination and discover beautiful historic houses and gardens and enjoy live music and comedy nights out.

The city’s impressive medieval cathedral boasts the tallest spire in Britain and a trip up the tower gives an open view across the area’s famous water meadows, and there are a host of other fascinating heritage attractions to explore.

Staying at the Cathedral Hotel, right in the heart of the city, is an excellent base for enjoying the nightlife too, and with Purple Flag status, Salisbury is recognised for its safe and friendly evening atmosphere. City Hall is the place to go for some live music or a spot of comedy. The building has hosted lots of top bands since its heyday in the 60s, when The Beatles and the Rolling Stones both played there.
