With its fine selection of beer and cider stalls, many of which offer local produce, Nottingham's Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival is a great place for drink connoisseurs.
The festival, held at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, attracts thousands of people every year who come to taste some of the 1,000+ cask ales and 300+ ciders and perries on offer. Chat to the artisan brewers and see why Nottinghamshire is known as a real ale capital before enjoying a spot of street food from one of the many stalls.
Food lovers will be able to sample locally produced pork pies and cheeses, along with hearty hog roasts and venison burgers. Watch the paella chefs cook up a storm or treat yourself to an artisan pizza as you soak up the lively atmosphere.
New for this year, there will be tutored tasting sessions, where you can pair beers and ciders with cheeses and chocolates. A new Discovery Stand will also be built, where you can learn about the beer and cider-making processes.
This year's Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival takes place between 9-12 October. Tickets are available now and come with a commemorative glass and nine beer tokens.
