Experience steam age travel on the Nene Valley Railway

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Visit one of England’s leading steam engine and locomotive attractions, based at Peterborough’s Nene Valley Station - a living heritage railway.

Explore the beautiful Nene Valley with a ride on a steam engine along the original London and North Western line from Northamptonshire into the Cathedral city of Peterborough.

Summer weekends see the vintage bus working from Wansford station and the Travelling Post Office carriage shows how mail was moved and sorted at night.

Head to the end of the line for a walk to the charming villages of Yarwell and Nassington, or stop off at Ferry Meadows and Orton Mere for walking, cycling and sailing.

You could even pay a visit to Railworld for exhibitions, model railway and Wildlife Haven at the Peterborough terminus to complete your day.
