May events: Cheer on the cyclists at Lincoln Grand Prix

Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Take to the streets of Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter to show your support for some of England’s top cyclists during a two-day festival of cycling.

The annual Lincoln Grand Prix Festival of Cycling sees cyclists pit their strengths against the rolling countryside of Lincolnshire and the cobbled hills surrounding Lincoln on a circular route. The city streets are filled with sports fans cheering them on to the spectacular start/finish line in Lincoln’s Castle Square.

You can make a break of it by bringing your own bike and taking part the day before the Grand Prix, finishing your own race in the historic square.

There are plenty of cycling-friendly places to stay nearby too that will keep your bike safe when you explore the heritage of Lincoln and the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
