Be an apprentice brewer for the day at Derventio Brewery

Help the head brewer and learn the basics of beer making, before getting stuck in to mix, siphon and pump your own beer.

The experience includes a mid-morning bacon sandwich, hot drinks throughout the day and lunch, including a real ale tasting session. All budding brewers leave with a ‘Beer Gift’.

Derventio Brewery, a 6 barrel micro-brewery, is famous locally for its award winning real ales produced and bottled on site. The brewery is set in a truly historic location, in Darley Abbey Mills, a collection of mill buildings dating back to the late 1700’s and forms part of the Derwent Valley Mill World Heritage Site.
