We hope that you love heights and open spaces, the Peak District offers both aplenty in its panoramas across dales and moors. Ramblers and mountain bikers can set their compasses in Derbyshire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Yorkshire to name a few starting points – this area is vast. You'll stumble upon canals, secret caves, natural springs and woodlands en route. Pause to take in Elizabethan manors, mining villages and spa towns and save space for sticky portions of the yummy local delicacy Bakewell tart. You won't be able to resist.
