Places to visit in Lincoln

Lincoln Cathedral was once the tallest building in the world until the central spire was destroyed by a storm in 1549. The loss of the spire has not deterred people throughout history from admiring it however, called the “most precious piece of architecture in the British Isles” by art critic John Ruskin. Filmmakers are also captivated by Lincoln’s beauty, with the city being featured in The Da Vinci Code. It’s not all about the Cathedral though, Lincoln Castle hosts one of the original copies of the Magna Carta. And after a day viewing the city’s history, there is nowhere better to be at night than the trendy Brayford Waterfront.
