Celebrate Ryedale's heritage at the Folk Museum

As you step through the entrance of the Ryedale Folk Museum, nestled in the rural village of Hutton-le-Hole in northeast England, you will be transported back in time. Take a walk through the museum and atmospheric six-acre site and learn about local history and the rural way of life from the Iron Age through to the 1950s. The collection spans five centuries, with objects as varied as cooking pots and brain surgery tools!

There’s plenty to explore, with an art gallery and rural crafts brought to life with interactive demonstrations.
