Get to the heart of the crafty Cotswolds

Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Allow yourself to be dazzled – and perhaps, learn to dazzle yourself – at a place where art comes to life.

Once, as its name suggests, a bustling brewery, New Brewery Arts has taken on a more holistic, less alcoholic artisanship in its old age. Reinvented as an arts hub in the mid-1980s the NBA has since become a place to relax, dine and appreciate art in all its forms, from glass blowing and painting to sculpture and pottery.

But there's more to NBA than seeing. Do it yourself with a wide range of arts workshops at the NBA, which as a charity aims to promote the arts to the local area. Little wonder over 200,000 people visit the brewery each year. Leading modern artist Grayson Perry was so enamoured he opened the NBA’s new workshops in 2008.
