Explore Brighton & Hove’s legendary beachfront

Brighton & Hove, East Sussex

Walk along the promenade from Hove in the West to the Brighton Marina for shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, watersports, cycling and a bandstand.

Whether you want to relax or get the adrenaline pumping, Brighton’s beachfront has it all. The promenade starts with the quirky, colourful beach huts in Hove taking you past Regency squares to the Victorian bandstand. As you cross the boundary into Brighton you can see the i360 observation tower, where you’ll glide up slowly to 450ft to enjoy breath taking 360° views from the world’s tallest moving observation tower and the world’s first vertical cable car.

Along this stretch you’ll see seafront arches full of independent shops selling photography, furniture, fashion and more. There are lots of great cafes and restaurants from ice-creams at the World Famous Pump Room to fine dining at Riddle & Finns. If you need to work up an appetite then try your hand at kayaking or hire a bike to use on the upper level cycle paths.

As visitors approach the Brighton Pier you can enjoy more traditional seaside pursuits such as Punch & Judy, the carousel or simply sitting back in a deckchair to enjoy the view.
