Canoe along the Derwentwater and discover something special about being close to the water.

Head to Keswick for a great day out on the water with Keswick Canoe and Bushcraft. The centre caters for all ages and abilities of canoeists and its half-day trips take place either in the morning or afternoon. Visitors are taught basic canoeing techniques and travel to the bays and islands around Derwentwater during their sessions.

Canoeists will also be able to enjoy the local wildlife up close as well learning about the history and geology of the area along the way as well as learning vital bushcraft skills, such as tree and plant identification, wood collection and fire preparation, how to use a kelly kettle and flint and steel and the opportunity to learn about different types of shelters.
