Get lost in the twists and turns of Wistow Maze

Wistow, Leicestershire

Over the summer, pay a visit to the famous Wistow Maze, a versatile puzzle in the English countryside that changes shape each year.

If you need a fun excuse for exercise, follow the families to Wistow Maze where, in a sleepy hamlet, you’ll discover an award-winning attraction.

Over the years, the sunflower maze has been transformed into a variety of different shapes - including a dinosaur, space rocket, witch and, most recently, an astronaut. But what theme will the master gardeners chop the maze in to next?

As you decide which paths to take, see if you can spot the 12 quiz boards among the three miles of twists and turns. With 10-foot-high bridges and towers to climb too, it’s energetic fun for all ages, and gets the brain cells ticking too.

Enter the maze as often as you want, and be challenged by a selection of mini mazes, puzzles and games in the Activity Funyard. When you're feeling a bit peckish, cross the road to the thriving Rural Centre’s cafe bistro for a bite to eat, or explore the shops, gallery or numerous country walks around St Wistan’s Church and the Grand Union Canal.

Wistow Maze is open in summer months only.
