Beer tasting with the Britain's oldest brewer

Faversham, Kent

Celebrate one of Kent's finest exports - the humble hop - with a beery-break in Faversham in Kent.

Book a break in the heart of this picturesque market town, and drink in 850 years of brewing brilliance. Head to the Shepherd Neame Brewery for a guided tour to learn about the brewing process, meet the master brewer and, of course, sample a few of Kent’s finest ales.

Shepherd Neame has been brewing delicious ales since 1698, so you can guarantee a top tipple during your stay in Faversham. The town has plenty of traditional English pubs to visit after your tour, with outstanding food and period features. Why not book an overnight break at The Sun Inn, which dates back to the 14th century, and explore some of the surrounding countryside.

You can also visit the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale in all its springtime glory, and stock up on fresh Kentish produce at Macknade Fine Foods so you can continue to savour the taste of The Garden of England at home.
