Herefordshire Cider Circuits

Ledbury, Herefordshire

Cycling and cider makes for a great combination in Herefordshire.

With its perfect soils and weather that grow the finest apples in the world, Herefordshire is the rightful ‘home’ of the apple and cider! It’s a skill they've been perfecting for hundreds of years - and all you have to do is hop on your bike to see the evidence. Herefordshire's Cider Circuits are a great way to experience the county's cider heritage on two wheels, with three routes to choose from - the 49-mile North Circuit, a 59-mile South Circuit and 48.5-mile West Circuit.

Cycle to Hereford (where Bulmers began), where you can tour the Museum of Cider, housed in the original 1888 factory. Here you’ll uncover the story of the county’s preferred drink and come away with a bottle or two from the well-stocked Bottle Shop.

Afterwards, peddle past alluring hamlets, historic sites and artisan producers, or stop by some of the ancient apple orchards in southern Herefordshire that lovingly harvest some of the county's best local ciders. There are plenty of pubs along the trails, too, if you're more into rewarding yourself with a pint at the pub.
