Hertford has many exhilarating and informative walks and cycle routes. You can hire a bike and enjoy the towpaths of the river Lea or discover the disused railway line on the Cole Green way.

You’ll also be able to take a stroll along the New River, the artificial waterway built to supply London with fresh drinking water.

Discover the country park and nature reserve of Panshanger Park in Hertford which regularly hosts guided walks and events. Head to Ball’s Wood in nearby Hertford Heath where you can spot a variety of birds and other wildlife.
