Rainy Day Activities: Get hands on at the Natural History Museum

South Kensington, London

See hundreds of exciting, interactive exhibits in one of London’s most beautiful landmark buildings.

Highlights of this world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre include the ever-popular Dinosaurs gallery and the Mammals display with its unforgettable, lifesize blue whale model, now found in the spectacular Central Hall.

Across the various halls and zones, the museum is home to more than 80 million specimens, spanning billions of years. This has made the Natural History Museum one of the UK's most popular indoor attractions - over 5 million visitors enter the free museum every year. With tons of interactive displays and child-friendly exhibits, it's sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Entry to the Natural History Museum is free, although donations are welcome and can be made in the foyer. Full details on limited time events (which may charge additional fees) and exhibits on display can be found on the website.
